Festival Singers

In addition to the church choir, our ‘ad hoc’ large-scale choral society, the Festival Singers come together from across our community to provide high-quality music for civic services and major events such as:

  • Battle of Britain

  • Remembrance Sunday

  • Carols by Candlelight

  • Christmas Midnight Mass

  • Holy Week/Easter

  • Banbury Early Music Festival

  • Banbury Organ Day

  • ‘Be a Chorister’ Day

  • Evensongs

The choir was established in 2020 during the Covid-19 Pandemic by Rev. Sarah Bourne. Since its inception, the choir has grown in both size and skill, now capable of performing larger repertoire in collaboration with musicians and ensembles. Rehearsals for specific services and events are held on the Friday evenings before the occasion, with no regular weekly commitment required.

To sing with the Festival Singers, members must be able to read music and be willing to work diligently during the brief rehearsal periods leading up to services and events.
